I read that Arteta told Moyes he wanted to leave after Everton knocked back a bid from Arsenal for him, don't think Barclay's or anybody else had anything to do with it.

When was this? As I said the days of sell to buy were over years ago. Besides that isn't really what happened, Arsenal wanted him and he fancied the move, the funny thing about it at the time was he was no longer playing his best anyway
