Must have been someone else then mate. I can remember at the time someone on here saying we were discussing personal terms with Emery.

Don't think he's really been that far away from "our" thoughts - having said that I'm going with Emery. As I said yesterday Koeman has over played his hand. I'm sure we'd take him as an insurance offer if Emery doesn't happen. However not expecting that.

It was Koeman, and he's still lurking, but he over-played his hand allowing Emery to become the next target. Discussions were had with others, even Simeone has been approached.
Assuming no changes the job is Emery's, if not then Koeman's.
If it's neither it's because there's information out there I don't have. Can't be any clearer than that.

The level and depth of his inaccuracy is absolutely astounding. Hats off to him, I couldn't make that stuff up.
