I, for one, welcome the departures of these dead wood players. Thank them for their service though and wish them well for the future. But this is something that we've needed to do for a while now. Frees up some space for the talented youths at the club and potentially new additions to the squad.
Mate - the constant negative undertones are getting to be past tedious.
Let's just see what happens..... The players leaving are players that needed to leave on way or another. Are we looking at additions - of course. Will they come off - who knows.
Keane would be a smart signing for sure. Jags the other way makes sense as well. Plus Burnley is not a bad destination for him - they seem a proper club, he would get to play and they should not be relegated.
Remove the word 'potential' and then I'll be happy.
I expect some players to play out of position if things go awry. I can't see us not bringing anyone else in thoughI'm happy to get rid of the deadwood but I am a little apprehensive about going into the rest of the season with little coverage for any position outside of center mid.
I expect we will be doing our best to bring some people in.
