I think he's the last one of the redundant players (including Kone).

But but but, as you say, if he goes we must bring in some replacements

He's been used properly this season though. Gibson, Oviedo, Kone, Niasse all none. With bolasie out and Del gone, you'd think we would replace him.

Why get rid of both Deulofeu & Lennon?

We'd be left with Mirallas, Lookman & DCL as our wingers. Unless I've forgotten someone.

An agent working on behalf of Everton to sign Standard Liege forward Ishak Belfodil has told the Belgian media the Premier League side were to blame for the deal collapsing. The former Inter Milan player was linked with a move to Everton earlier in the transfer window.

Voetbal Nieuws have reported on comments from Christophe Henrotay with regards to Everton’s failure to sign Belfodil. Henrotay claimed Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said he would be putting in a higher bid for Belfodil, but Ronald Koeman decided to pull out of a move for the player.

The agent believes Koeman was given negative information, which was inaccurate, about Belfodil. Henrotay feels Kenwright lost interest in the deal because the transfer fee was too high.

Henrotay claims Kenwright said something along the lines of: “I want to keep our good relationship, we are going to make a higher bid, but I’ll remember this for next time.”

The agent himself added: “The transfer was put off track, Ronald Koeman suddenly changed his mind, he had something wrongly negative briefed on the player, because Belfodil is an exceptional professional.”

Kenwright is said to have become less interested in the deal as the price went higher.

Belfodil had been linked with a move to the Premier League strongly in Belgium, and it was expected Everton would sign the attacker. A fee of €12m was agreed, and the deal was expected to be completed, until Everton got cold feet.

Alex Chamberlain ? no info ! just a thought ! anyone have him ?

Yep, but not a priority position for me.

A striker, playmaker and centre-half, in that order. If we just bring in a quality striker, that'd do I guess because the season is effectively already over, but not doing so would be an awful window in my eyes. The good results lately have papered over giant cracks that haven't suddenly gone away.

Top heavy squad of average players. Lots of talented young players coming through who are nearly ready for the first team. Makes sense to get rid of players in their way. However, I think Lennon is good back up and a hard worker.

Dont think Koeman wants any wingers , the system he wants is big man (Rom) up front with forward/attacking midfielders playing behind him.Thought Lennon would have been one of the first to go tbh.

I'm struggling to think of any other club in "our" league signing someone who I'm jealous of. It will be the usual merry-go-round of mediocrity later as the mid-table/relegation threatened teams swap journeymen for £10m a pop
