Being linked with Callum Wilson of Bournemouth in one of the papers today. Real handful with his pace and workrate, but not totally convinced with his finishing. Thoughts?

If Valencia continues his good performances I doubt we'll even need to buy a new striker tbh. Other than getting him permanently of course.

Fee in excess of 20m says the article. West Ham are interested, nothing about a loan deal. I highly doubt Valencia will be signed on a permanent come end of the season anyway.

his finishing is definitely not an issue, i think his goals to games ratio in the prem is very good, especially considering he's playing for bouremouth, but he's in that same bracket as charlie austin. I'd take both as our 3rd choice striker next season (this is with a top striker being bough as no.2, not enner valencia), but they're too injury prone to be valued higher. And then, why would either leave their clubs to be our 3rd choice striker? Massive fan of both though.

Hearing 12m, that's crazy. Let's go in for Klaassen then

11m.

Nobody tell Zat.

Wolfsburg have beaten Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool to the signing of Ajax star Riechedly Bazoer.

The midfielder, who has been dubbed the 'new Patrick Vieira' by the Dutch media, has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the German side after a fee of around £11m was agreed.

Bazoer, 20, will link up with his new team-mates in January and Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe admits they beat off plenty of competition to sign him.

"We have had a close eye on Riechedly Bazoer for quite some time," said Rebbe.

"We are delighted that he has opted to sign for VfL Wolfsburg, in spite of having further offers from other renowned clubs.

"He is just at the beginning of his career and we are convinced that he will make the next step in his development here with us."
