I don't want to agree, but if that's the brand of footy we're going to play, and it rather looks like it is, then what you say makes sense. I'd prefer someone like Fellaini rather than Fellaini though.

So just to be clear, defo not Fellaini, you'd rather have Fellaini instead.

While there's still clearly a big rebuild job on, I've got a feeling some of the current crop might step up once we sign a few great players.

Obviously Coleman, Gana and Lukaku survive the cull, but we need a squad at the end of the day and we're not replacing 20 players. I'm sure others will disagree, but I reckon Stekelenburg, Williams, Baines, McCarthy, Barry, Besic, Deulofeu, Bolasie and Barkley all have something to offer, either as starters, backup, or to teach the youngsters a thing or two and be a positive influence in the dressing room. Throw in Davies, Holgate and DCL and we'd only realistically need 7/8 players. Two transfer windows should make a huge difference.

I hope Koeman lives up to his ruthless reputation with the remainder.
