I’d have those Benfica defenders in a heartbeat but can’t see they selling both in January and I’m sure they both signed new contracts?? File under jarg rumour sadly :coffee:

Over the whole season he hasn't proved anyone wrong, he's had 1 good month this season, before the Chelsea game what game did DCL have a particularly good game in?

He might turn out to be class, doesn't mean he IS NOW though does it

I'll say again like I've said about 20 times in here, until Calvert Lewin produces the goods like he has this past month over a longer period of time he still has A LOT to prove

Not sure about that myself. The club will have known about this in advance, if the club were deciding to cut their cloth accordingly, they wouldn't have hired Ancelotti.

I doubt we were ever going to spend much in Jan anyway. Our plans to spend will be the same as they were when we agreed to hire Carlo. Just rubbish journalism again - acting as if the club has just found something out that they didn't know a week ago! Not even Everton would be that naive!

There must be some implication from this with regards to financial fair play.
I don’t know if anyone can explain?
Can Morhi just write the losses off?

Not for me, i just like the 2 centre backs and Grimaldo (who we dont need)...

I agree that we need a pure defender first and foremost and Ancelotti could probably put a deep playmaker in front of the defence anyway.

Surprised Ruben Dias didnt move in the summer.
