If you've watched Walsh over a full 10/12 games I bow to your greater knowledge, but other than that goal it's hard to see how he'd hit the ground running in a side that's stuggling to find any consistent form (to say the least)
I haven't watched him regularly, I'm not gonna be that guy who claims to watch an inhuman level of football. Other than the occasional game, I pretty much watch Everton (season ticket for 23years), and most of time I begrudge watching them as well.
But I do keep a passing interest in some of our former players and younger players out on loan, keep an eye out for results, match reports, goals, etc. He has largely had positive reviews, even when he was out on loan from us, and aside from having a bit of bad luck with injuries, has been impressive where ever he has gone. He has scored a few worldies, free kicks, the goal I posted earlier from last month, he scored another fantastic goal on Sunday in the cup, and made another.
I'm not saying he is the next Alan Ball. I'm just saying, especially after that spineless sh**e served up on Sunday, that we could do a lot worse than taking a young, energetic, hard working, local lad with a great attitude, a good footballing brain and no small amount of ability, and someone who would 100% fight for the shirt, over either of those 2 frauds who couldn't even get up to play a gang of kids.
You put Liam Walsh, Jonjo Kenny, Tom Davies, Joe Williams in that team on Sunday instead of either of those 2 cowardly sh*thouses and at least they would play with pride.
I hate that we have lost our identity. Dunc got it back briefly while he was in charge, and I want that back every week. If that means taking a punt on a young Everton fan from a lower league with something to prove, a player I might add that we had high hopes for but was booted out by the most arrogant, self centered manager we ever had because he didn't want to waste time on building a lasting team, then I'm all for it.
