I don’t want short term fixes anymore mate, I want players young or about to hit 25-27 who are hungry.

N’Zonzi won’t be hungry and demand big wages no time for that leave him to West Ham or something

I think the team needs a healthy balance, better still, someone with some energy in the legs which is exactly what N'Zonzi could bring.. just a loan til end of season - we seen the impact an experienced Barry had on our young team under Martinez (let's not forget N'Zonzi is only a year older than Gueye).

Ideally we'd get someone in their peak this window, but it'll probably be too expensive. Would take established experience over another potential this window on a short term loan.

My euphoria with the appointment of Ancelotti is slowly ebbing away to be replaced by the previous "Silva" feeling of apathy.

The thing is Gana wasn’t great in his 2nd season. His best spell was his last 6months at the club, that Everyone remembers.

He’s a very good player, but city haven’t got a Gana, neither have Liverpool, Leicester, spurs.
It does my head in all the ex red players and journalists saying Everton need to get back to basics and scrap, fight for every ball. Dogs of war

It’s quality footballers that get you top 4 and challenging, yes they have to fight for the shirt and their teammates. But it’s not just about running around like headless chickens, tackling everything that moves.

Every single one of those teams has at least one good defensive midfielder they can rely on to control things in the middle
