Of course, but it was started with pep's barca. Most managers failed to realise that Pep had a team of technically gifted players along with the rocks of Puyol, Abidal, Mascherano, busquets.

We now have Silva and martinez for example asking the likes of Jags and keane to turn into Pique and Ramos overnight.
Infact Ramos, Pique, Bonnucci, Laporte are all recognised as ball playing centre halfs but their true success is that they have the desire and ruggedness to keep a clean sheet. We cant have defenders of the mindset that its okay to concede a goal a game as long as we pass out from the back to entertain.

Kante and Ndidi both Steve Walsh discoveries, by all accounts.
 
Should be all over Kalvin Phillips from Leeds, and also that Ben White on loan there from Brighton. Doubt they sell in January mind with promotion on the cards.

Not arsed. We don't need another young player for the team right now, not least one that can't get into the Benfica starting lineup.

Would take a few short-term options now to tide us over til' the summer, starting with N'Zonzi who would add some bite. Go for the Berge guy then in Summer who looks a real talent.

I don’t want short term fixes anymore mate, I want players young or about to hit 25-27 who are hungry.

N’Zonzi won’t be hungry and demand big wages no time for that leave him to West Ham or something

would be all over that, loan for 6 months with option to buy

I know spurs are far more attractive than us ATM, but he's only going to be in the team for a few weeks until Kane is back and then he wont get a game
