It’s all fine, we are in great shape.

we’ve got Walcott, Gylfi and Schneiderlin to grace Goodison and keep us all on the edge of our seats until May.

then the cool calm assurance of Mina and Holgate at the back, as well as the explosive and prolific goal machines up front.

clubs never looked better, CL here we come.

Could be Fofana but may be like the CB arsenal signed from them Saliba and stay till the end of the season.

Think Arsenal spent a fortune on him didnt they? Wonder how much Fofana would be...

....an article this morning mentions Saliba and predicts Brands will keep tabs on Fofana until the summer, but I think we’ll be looking to bring a CB in this month. No idea of Fofana’s worth, he’s big on potential so his price tag might be heavily weighed with add-ons.

I don't think we'll do much, if any, business. Ancelotti will need a good while to assess who he can keep and what his priorities are. If we can get rid of some of the older rubbish we have then great. If not, Brands needs to get busy finding buyers for the summer.

I don't think he'll need a while mate, I think that Liverpool game was everything he needed to know.

Just reading this article, it's frightening the money we are wasting on literally nothing

Why do we still have players like Garbutt in our books, besic, tarashj

Then Sandro he will forever be a mystery looked to have real quality before he signed for us seemed a bargain at the time

This is the perfect example of why we shouldn’t panic and throw further money at this problem to try and solve it.

Would much rather us loan players and promote youth whilst trimming down the considerable fat of our squad. Only Kenny from that article has a sniff of making it here, and there’s about 7 more who are currently in the first team we could bin off without even noticing.

....it’s Friday, but it’s not Crackerjack. Here’s the morning Toffee transfer rumours for 10th January;

- Beyaz TV journalist, Ertan Suzgun, reports Everton striker a Cenk Tosun has reached agreement with Crystal Palace. The 28 year old will join on loan until the end of this season and the deal will be announced today.

- Sky Sports suggest Everton look set to miss out on Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes. The 20 year old has agreed a ‘deal in principle’ to join West Ham on an 18 months loan deal that does not include an obligation to buy.

- Arena Napoli say Sassuolo is open to selling winger Jeremie Boga and Napoli has the edge over Everton as they are willing to sign the ex-Chelsea player this month for £25m-£30m.

- Goal report Everton is interested in Bologna winger, Riccardo Orsolini. Juventus and AC Milan are also keeping tabs on the 22 year old who has scored 5 goals with 5 assists this season. The Italian international joined in the summer from Juventus who have a £19m buy-back option.

- According to TuttoSport, Juventus are not keen on selling Adrien Rabiot to Everton and it would take an offer they cannot refuse for them to change their mind.

- Sky Sports report Borussia Dortmund have joined the race to sign Norwich right back, Max Aarons. Everton is one of a number of clubs interested in the £30m rated 20 year old.

- Everton has been linked with Nottingham Forest‘s 22 year old centre back, Joe Worrall, but manager Sabri Lamouchi has told reporters; “No way, with me it’s impossible. We are here to achieve a dream all together. Don’t talk to me about money, don’t talk to me about challenge. Joe Worrall is from Forest, we started a job together and I will never give permission to sell.”
So what you're saying is, we're likely to lose the players were supposedly targeting...

We've never replaced Gana

If we can get someone in like him then it'll improve us in the middle of the park right away

Gbamin isn't going to be able to do that I think, and he needs time to get used to the English game anyway

Find someone like Gana. There has to be someone out there. How much are we paying our scouts at the end of the day? They can find someone

I suspect that if there is someone coming in, then it's probably going to be no more than 2, and they'll be experienced players in key positions that Ancelotti trusts and they'll be short term acquisitions (loans or short contracts). A couple of decent pros in around the team would allow some of our current players to perform better. Then it's a long half season for Ancelotti to try and coach what he can coach into the shower.

Whilst the majority of people here (myself included) have had more than a wobble after Sunday's debacle and expected stuff to happen after Silva's reign came to an end, I hope that Ancelotti is calmer than us and able to see and improve what is already here. Long long grind ahead to look forward to.
