Still cant believe we didnt bring a CM in - we have our best chance of top 6 in years gutting.

Someone like Nzonzi or Can on loan for the rest of the season heck even paying the dough for Vecino would have really given us a boost.

He looks a decent player and he’s only 20, would deffo sign him before one of the other big boys snaps him up. He’s English so No doubt his price will inflate though

I've said a few times I can live with a so so finish to this year if it means we will be ready to fire from day 1 next year. If by saving money now we can get guys in and get going next year I'm there for it. 7th means little to me.

Signings give clubs a boost:

Utd have strengthened their attack and midfield

Sheffield Utd have strengthened their midfield

Spurs have strengthened

Palace (Tosun is gash but will suit their style over ours so may be of some use to them)

After that Newcastle result I became adamant that we needed 1-2 players even just to psychologically give the dressing room a boost/ lift.

People underestimate just how weak minded this squad of players is - the club have accepted with 14 games to go the seasons done so I have too - no point getting your expectations up when as soon as we get within a sniff of those European spots the players will bottle it and let you down again.

We also aint qualifying for Europe with this shambolic midfield & Walcott out wide.

Good point mate, if we take the players who probably wont make the grade out of the mix eg. Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson, Delph and POSSIBLY Gbamin it doesn't leave a lot of choice........we need 2 new first team midfielders at least, more if Gbamins injury continues. I have stuck up for Davies on these pages but sadly it doesn't look like he is kicking on in the same way as Holgate and DCL.
