i think it was more down to personal terms as he said he liked the way swansea play

well that means wigan might get him with Neville and Johnny H in midfield the chap will die with the cold waiting
for a ball to be played from midfield bar he is 6 ft 10 with the hoof ball we play

He is quick and i saw him play for Inter in that friendly tournament in Ireland last summer with the likes of Man City and Celtic and who ever else, i cant remember now, but he did look good but he did get used on the left in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formation that Inter played, he didnt play as a direct striker.

Name: Luc Castaignos
Date of birth: 27/09/92
Birthplace: Schiedam, Netherlands
Position: Striker
Club: Inter
International honours: Caps at U-17 and U-19 level for the Netherlands

WHAT'S THE LATEST NEWS?
Everton are locked in a battle with Bologna and Cesena to sign the 19-year-old Inter striker. Castaignos is apparently unhappy with the lack of first-team football at the San Siro, with Toffees manager David Moyes keen to bolster his attack.

DID YOU KNOW?
1) Castaignos joined the Feyenoord youth set up in 2007 and broke into the first team in 2009. In total he scored 15 times in 37 games.

2) In the 2009 European U-17 Championship, Castaignos scored his country's opening goal in the 2-1 final loss to Germany. He also scored in the semi-final victory against Switzerland and in the group stages against Turkey.

3) Before his transfer to Inter at the end of the 2010/11 season, Castaignos was being linked to Man United, Arsenal, Tottenham and other clubs across Europe, including Real and Bayern.

4) He scored his first Serie A goal in November 2011. Coming off the bench, his late strike was the difference in Inter's 1-0 win over Siena.

5) His Netherlands U-17 coach Albert Stuivenburg has compared him to French ace Thierry Henry. “His style of play has something in common with Henry. Some of his team-mates have compared him to Henry because he not only plays like him, but also looks like him a bit,â€￾ he said.

HE SAYS

"I'm a pacy forward and good at scoring goals. When the midfielders are on the ball I know which position I have to be in and when I should start my run."
If we have Nev and Johnny in midfield he'll soon learn that the best position is behind them

Becomes a world class player after about 3 seasons in Football Manager with good coaching & lots of 1st team exposure.

He'll be off to Division 1 in 2 seasons with us, so.

He will be like a new signing, great on Champ manager etc..

Saying that the You Tube vid looks great.

Where is Vellios!

why the trouble signing a striker???

just read this morning that yet another striker is speculated to be joning us, to go with the other 20 or so!
it seems the media are doing a better job than our board at finding out these strikers but surely we must be able to sign 1 of them?!
other teams are after strikers too but even if all these other teams did sign a striker it would still leave us with a lot to choose from.
what i cant understand is why we are struggling to get someone? i know about our lack of money but even the loan deals seem out of our reach!
i fear that once again the transfer window is gonna close before we get anything sorted.
there seems little urgency from the club in selling / buying from what ive seen.
guess im just very frustrated :@

Probably have to wait for the Bily deal to go through before any money can be spent...

A young striker who Everton could have be a part of the team for the next few seasons or whom Everton could make a return on in the future if they had to sell are hard to come by in our price range.
