I want to know why, when its common knowledge that a transfer window is open from 1st of Jan until last day of Jan, We still haven't made required moves to bring people in with 8days to go and yes I know we have no money what my point is, is why are deals not in place before Jan 1st so that when the window opens, boom your new player arrives. It baffles me why managers wait until the final week and a possible extra 4-6 games played before making moves. Just wondering like.

Because a lot of transfers can't happen until a transfer happens in the opposite direction. It's a big chain reaction and people wait until the last day to put pressure on the other party in an attempt to get the best deal possible.

They should change it to a 1 week window or 10 days max.

As said no one does anything till the end. I can see why eg. To get a bid accepted now for say pienaar will be about 5/6M, last couple of days they may have signed hoilett and want rid accepting less.
