As it stands we are getting Landon Donovan which is a decent piece of business. Having said that I can't see it vastly improving our fortunes. It's a welcome boost though!

What would make this window highly satisfying however would be Donovan, Pienaar and a striker.

My choice of striker personally would be Defoe. He will be hungry trying to impress Capello for the summer's Euro Championships squad, and he is one of the league's more potent strikers on his day. He is desperate to play games surely something can be done there!

Donovan, Pienaar and Defoe and I would be chuffed to bits!

Wouldn't mind Onuoha thrown in there either!

Pienaar, Donovan and Defoe are all around the 29/30 mark.....if we signed any of them for a fee it would be a disaster.

The only way forward for a club like ours is to sign young players and Sell them when they hit 30.....
