January Transfer Window 2012

As it stands we are getting Landon Donovan which is a decent piece of business. Having said that I can't see it vastly improving our fortunes. It's a welcome boost though!

What would make this window highly satisfying however would be Donovan, Pienaar and a striker.

My choice of striker personally would be Defoe. He will be hungry trying to impress Capello for the summer's Euro Championships squad, and he is one of the league's more potent strikers on his day. He is desperate to play games surely something can be done there!

Donovan, Pienaar and Defoe and I would be chuffed to bits!

Wouldn't mind Onuoha thrown in there either!

Realistically, we've got one loan slot remaining and Moyes doesn't want to spend in January because he doesn't think he'll get good value for money. I don't see why he'd want Pienaar, given that he'll already struggle to accommodate Drenthe, Donovan and Osman in the same side. If we're playing a loan striker system, then Defoe can't play that role because he's too small to be able to hold the ball up. Where would we play Onouha? We have Hibbert, Neville and Coleman for right back and Heitinga fighting Distin for the right to partner Jagielka.

If we bring anyone else in, it will have to be a striker. Steven Fletcher is Moyes's type of player, but I couldn't see Wolves letting him go for anything less than £8m. I'd personally try and do a deal for Kalou, given that he's out of contract in the summer. Chelsea will probably be replacing Anelka, so he'll end up even further down the pecking order. If they'd loan us Lukaku, that would be awesome, but I think they want to work with him this season. I'd also like to clear out Mucha and Hahnneman and bring in Craig Gordon once his contract expires.

I think Defoe is a good shout, Pavlyuchenko seems to of usurped him as the main back-up striker at Spurs and although Adebayor is only there on loan, I believe they will be willing to loan Defoe out for the remainder of the season to keep him playing and keep him happy to stay at Spurs post Adebayor and really, I think it's the only realistic avenue of signing a proven striker on loan just now.

First of all forget what happened with him leaving no player has loyalty like a fan, if Pienarr was back in our squad he plays before any of them 3 you named , he picks himself , I'd like to say **** him off but sadly where not good or rich enough to say that .

Secondly Soloman Kalou have you been on the Wacky Backy?? Solamon Kalou FFS that's all I've got on that

Romelu Lukkaku can't sign for anyone till next season as he's already played for 2 clubs in one season Anderlect and Chelsea

Steven Fletcher's worth about 4m prob better than what we've got but still wouldn't go near him, that Eduardo who played for Arsenal might be worth a shout, lost a bit of confidence with the bad injury but he's a proper goal scorer, he'd walk here I reckon too
