There's more to forward play than goals. He ran his bollocks off dropping deep and linking play for others to benefit.

You cant be serious that Saha dodn't shine for Everton? I suppose we called him King Louis because he is, in fact, an actual monarch?

Some blues only give a handful of players the courtesy of remembering their talents beyond 6 months ago. As Saha doesn't box corner flags, kiss the badge or say how much of a happy family it is here that courtesy isn't bestowed to him. He's gash until he scores and then he's ace and then he's gash again.

I feel the same way mate, he still has it in him but its Moyes we are talking about here. He wouldn't be the first player he's ruined. The King is dead..........

Aye. I think he'll do well for Spurs though; a new environment, better football, much more service... Good luck to him. I hate Spurs but I heart Louis.

Saha was one of the best all round strikers weve had at the club in the modern era imo. Technically he was world class.

But that ends with age and he wasn't doing enough for a new contract.

Its only a good move for us if we get someone in to add creativity. Tick. Tock

He's a player who'll do well with good service in an attacking team where he isn't under pressure to hold the ball up. He's better at bringing others into play and being the technical beast that he is rather than being an out and out goal poacher. Meaning he'll probably bang them in for Spurs while playing well - when he's not injured.

At the moment we just need a big aerial threat can score goals and hold the ball up - Jelavic?

Louis has been decent for us, but sadly he seems to have become uninterested and sh*te this year. If we get a million or so for him it'd be boss.

Nailed it.

I always thought he was boss. Back when he was pinging them in against Chelsea etc I used to say to Kopite mates that if Louis could stay fit he'd be better than Torres. They all creased up and said I was mental but I stand by that. He was a genius on his day. The Blackpool game was just genius forward play but he's going on 34 and he's out of contract at the end of the year. If this helps us one iota with Pienaar and/or Pav we have to do it.

He's had no service this year, for me.

And what little he's had he's panicked with because he's low on confidence. He's the kind of striker that bangs one in and then goes on a run. He just needs something to stimulate the first goal. Sticking Cahill up with him for a year, and hoofing it like Stoke on stedz just isn't that.

Whether or not this is a good move depends on incomings, but I'm not saying it's a bad more per se.

I'm just not enjoying the palpable hatred being directed towards him. For me he was one of Moyes' best signings and he doesn't deserve some of the things people are saying.
