Thelwell /the club should have targets whoever the manager is tbf clearly Dyche will have input but you would hope work has been done on scouting

Forest have money, we do not. As for Leeds and Bournmouth it's pretty much the same. After the Gordon deal goes through hopefully we will see some movement. We can't account for idiots like Danjuma.

Don't even think it's lack of money, it's ffp and not being allowed to spend t without sales, which magnifies just how badly we've been run. Danjuma is a tit i agree, but why do our signings drag on so long and give other teams the chance to nip in and steal. Possibly because our disjointed board need three different people to sign them off.

Honestly when you look at our squad and the system (4-4-2) which is most likely to be used, I don't think they will be spending huge on many positions.

XI

GK - Pickford/Begovic
RB - Patterson/Coleman
CB - Coady/Tarkowski/Mina/Godfrey/Keane/Holgate
LB- Mykolenko/Vingare
RW - Iwobi/Townsend
DM - Onana/Garner
CM - Doucoure/Gueye/Davies
LW - Gray/McNeil
CF - DCL/Maupay/Simms

We need a striker and right winger

Agree totally mate. I really don't know why it has to go at a snails pace compared to other clubs.

Some reports say Ndiaye turned us down and others say the bid of £20mil was rejected.

FIrst signing for me would be Joao Pedro for a similar fee to what we paid for Richarlison.

He can also play on the left/right so a sensible signing.

I think we could spend more than the £40mil received...bring him in first.
Joao Pedro would be a great signing - he's injured atm which would make things complicated, as would the fact that Watford are probably sick to death of us signing their players so we'd likely pay above value for him. Regardless, if Dyche is only getting announced as manager on Monday, it's a convinient excuse for the board to piss about and not sign anyone until then...

Fraser, Antonio, Rinse and repeat.

Next year the media say “they have spent over £800 million on players who are championship standard”, that is why we are where we are

Let the circus continue

That media line about spending loads of money is ridiculous.

What timeframe do they base it on? In the PL as a whole, we’d be nowhere near the top clubs.

In Moshiri’s tenure? We’ve sold Lukaku Stones Barkley Gueye Richarlison Gordon for the best part of 300 million during that time (and that’s before you count in any other player sales at all) so we’d have had to spend an awful lot gross to have a very high net spend averaged out over the 7 years he’s owned us.

An article in the mirror a few days ago put the figure at 731 mill (although this had every player costing their maximum reported value plus add ons and also had Richy at 50 mill Dele at 40 mill and James at 20 mill)

Let’s say it’s 700 mill (although I’d wager it’s actually a lot less seeing as hardly anyone would have triggered add ons). If you take off the 300 mill sales just for those players I’ve mentioned then it’s a net spend of 400 mill over 7 years, just over 50 mill a season.

That’s the extreme of all figures as well, we’ve sold more players than those listed and the expenditure is probably less but you can see the point. Our real net spend has probably somewhere between 40-50 mill per season (split across all windows) and most of that was front loaded so the average is only going down.

Have we spent that money well? No, of course not. Now do the top 6 clubs have higher expenditure than that? Of course they do. Massively. This throw away line by the media though about 500 million is just not particularly accurate or helpful.

I don't think anyone is saying if we just sign Ryan Fraser and no one else, we will be happy.

But I think if we sign him, he will do well for us in the situation we currently find ourselves in.

We just sold AG for £45m.

Its something that hasn't been mentioned mate, but there is a fair bit after coming into the club in terms of revenue and will come - we will probably return to profitability this year for the first time since Moshiri came in as a minority stake holder.

Richarlsion: 50 mill rising to 60.
Young Flash: 40 -rising to 45
Nathan Broadhead: reported 7 figure fee
Sebasten Quirk: Undisclosed
Moise Kean: 23 million in this financial year.

There is money there to my mind.

We need a striker and some creativity from somewhere.

We need 3 attackers.

Two 6 ft 3 strikers and a right winger/midfielder is bare minimum.

Add a class cm like Onana will be nice.
