Honestly when you look at our squad and the system (4-4-2) which is most likely to be used, I don't think they will be spending huge on many positions.

XI

GK - Pickford/Begovic
RB - Patterson/Coleman
CB - Coady/Tarkowski/Mina/Godfrey/Keane/Holgate
LB- Mykolenko/Vingare
RW - Iwobi/Townsend
DM - Onana/Garner
CM - Doucoure/Gueye/Davies
LW - Gray/McNeil
CF - Dominic Calvert-Lewin/Maupay/Simms

We need a striker and right winger
The FB options are pathetic.

Afternoon mates, not an Ashley Barnes rumour in sight!!!

Dele Alli put his finger to his lips and 'shushed' the Besiktas fans after scoring just his second goal for the Turkish club – in a Man Of The Match performance.

At full-time, after being substituted in the 86th minute, he then put his finger to his lips and made a 'shushing' gesture to the same set of supporters. The message couldn't have been clearer.

Everton are interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres before the transfer deadline, according to a recent report

Coventry manager Mark Robins dismissed any suggestion of the Swedish marksman leaving the Sky Blues in the January transfer window, telling Coventry Live that there is ‘no chance’ that the 24-year-old departs, although interest in his services has persisted

Anthony Gordon has arrived on Tyneside and is undergoing his medical and the usual transfer formalities this morning to complete his big money move to Newcastle United.

The Liverpool-born forward arrived this morning after new Everton boss Sean Dyche sanctioned his exit with the player making it clear he wanted to leave Goodison Park.

There remains an uncertainty regarding Sheffield United forward Iliman Ndiaye, as we hurtle towards the transfer deadline day on Tuesday.

The Blades superstar has been of interest to Everton in the last week or so. Ndiaye has caught the eye of the Toffees with some fine performances and he currently leads the Blades in both goals and assists.

Of course, the Everton news has been a big talking point all week. And while some have questioned the validity of those rumours, Yorkshire Live has claimed there is some truth to them.

Everton are interested in Shakhtar Donetsk’s Brazilian winger Tete as the Toffees look to land the 22-year-old before Tuesday’s deadline, according to Alex Crook.

The Merseyside club are desperately on the lookout for another winger after missing out on Arnaut Danjuma, despite the Dutchman completing his media duties at Goodison Park ahead of his loan move from Villarreal.

Amadou Onana is not considering leaving Everton before the end of the ongoing transfer window, in a boost for the Toffees, according to The Athletic.

Liverpool, Everton and Aston Villa all tried to sign Evan Ferguson before he joined Brighton in January 2021. That is according to the Times, who have done a profile on the teenage striker who is taking the Premier League by storm right now.

To help grease the wheels over the Gordon transfer, a report claims Everton are asking for a Newcastle player to move the other way. And, according to 90min, the subject of Everton’s attention is Scottish winger Ryan Fraser. ? ?

The 28-year-old has struggled for minutes under Howe at Newcastle this season, making just eight appearances in the Premier League. Only three of those have been starts, suggesting the Scotland winger is a long way down the Newcastle pecking order.

Tottenham are keeping close tabs on Everton star Jordan Pickford ahead of a potential summer move, sources have told Football Insider.

The Londoners will be in the market for a new goalkeeper in the main window amid doubts over Hugo Lloris’ long-term future.

Anthony Gordon has been spotted on Tyneside ahead of a medical, with fan-footage showing the winger arriving at the club’s Benton training base on Saturday morning.

Last night, it was confirmed that a £40m deal had been agreed with Everton, with some reporting that a further £5m could be paid in potential add-ons.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem and a long-term contract will be announced once medical tests are completed.

Interestingly, Sky Sports report that Everton have inserted a sell-on clause into the deal, although it’s not yet known what percentage they’d receive should we sell the 21-year-old in the future

Hakim Ziyech
The Chelsea wide man has only started four Premier League games this season, and his prospects of gaining a more prominent role in Graham Potter's plans appear slim with left-winger Mykhaylo Mudryk and right-winger Noni Madueke having recently arrived at Stamford Bridge. Everton are among a host of clubs credited with interest in Ziyech.

Marko Arnautovic
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Neal Maupay's collective failure to come up with the goods in front of goal this season has sparked Everton into action. Youngster Ellis Simms has been recalled from his loan stint at Sunderland, but Dyche could still do with a more seasoned frontman to make the difference over the second half of the season.

Anthony Elanga
The 20-year-old winger was a regular under Ralf Rangnick last season, but his progress has stalled since Erik ten Hag took charge of the Red Devils. With several stars, both established and emerging, ahead of Elanga in the pecking order at Old Trafford, they are expected to let him leave on loan for the rest of the season.

Kamaldeen Sulemana
The youngster was seen as a future star when Rennes poached him from Nordsjaelland in 2021. He impressed during his first season in Ligue 1, but like Elanga, things have slowed down this term with appearances primarily coming from off the bench.

Everton are reported to have held extensive talks regarding the winger, who is rated at a hefty £40m, but Southampton are also in the running. It remains to be seen whether Sulemana represents a priority target for Dyche, or if the Toffees hierarchy would prefer to wait until the summer.

He's a decent player and a proven quantity (with European experience too), something we don't have currently in his position.
Is he proven? He has spent most of his career in South Korea and Croatia, has some caps for Croatia I suppose but he is 30 now and never played in a top league (or even a second tier one).

He will be better than what we have of course but thats due to us not having a player in that position. A traffic cone could improve that for us.
