….I understand Simms can only go to Sunderland or stay with us.

Sunderland lost a striker yesterday so we might seek a fee if they are keen.
He shouldn't have been recalled from Sunderland in the first instance, it's disruptive to his development, but utterly unsurprising as we don't know or understand how to develop young players, as Newcastle will highlight over the next 12 months with Gordon.

COYB!

John.

Well nobody refuses food to pay the mortgage. You pay the repayments that are due.

No money from Usmanov currently, maybe in the future, who knows?

Moshiri has wealth too, hes a multi billionaire.

Either way though, the money will be used for transfer funds, not the stadium. The stadium will be paid for our of increased revenues, naming rights and increased sponsorships etc.

Money paid by an investor pursuant to a construction project is often paid in parts with penalties if it isn't all drawn down.

To your point, construction contracts often have "step in rights" from the funder; meaning if we don't pay our bills the funder can choose to come in and finish the stadium instead of us and own it instead of us. So there's an alternative means of recovery for the funder if we're suddenly without funds.

I hope Moshiri has signed some sort of agreement with the club whereby he has agreed to keep funding the stadium ( lol). One things he will have at least signed personal guarantees for various stages of the project. If so when he sells he can't just get rid of those guarantees as they're owed to the construction company or external funder. He'd have to sell those liabilities to a new buyer to get rid of them.

I can't see any massive charges on EFC on companies house ( suggesting EFC is directly and possibly solely liable for the stadium debt) for like 100mil which is good but I only had a cursory look.

£14mil turned down for Marcos Leonardo at Santos.

Brazil u20 forward...scores alot of goals.
Throw £25m at them and bring him in. But as a Brazilian under 19s intentional he's an exceptional talent who I've never seen play but must be better than Maupay.
