I think Dembele would be a very good punt, he's reasonably fast, aggressive and knows where the net is. He's not played too much this season, but, he has let his club know that he won't sign a new deal, so, they have moved on. He did, however get a shed load of goals last season. We could play him alongside DCL if Dyche goes 442, he would also provide cover when DCL has his, inevitable, next injury.

For all the above reasons, plus the fact he is rumoured To be available for around 10 million Euros, we will of course show no interest in signing him.

At a guess,
Outs
2 first teamers will leave to make room on the wage bill and a couple of youngsters sold.
Ins
2 forwards like Antonio and Dembele for mid range fees and
1 winger, someone like Sulemana

I’d take that at this stage but I think it’s more likely we only get one in if that with two days left of the window, I’m not sure we are capable of doing more than one deal at the same time

I think it was a lot of things tbh. Frank was only a motivator in the system imo. I think the tactics/subs were coming from Clement/Edwards/Cole. Many of the issues we had as a team were extremely similar to the issues that Clements Derby team had ie it was all possession with no actual purpose to it, and you are holding onto the ball waiting for the other team to make a mistake so you can nip in and capitalise on it. I always had reservations about the backroom team Lampard brought with him and despite being a World Class player Ashley Cole I know can be an utter bell at times or the nicest guy you will ever meet, there is no in between with him. I was always skeptical as to whether it was going to work long term.
I certainly saw a lot of Clements input in the structure of the team, which it seems was suited only to elite players to be able to work efficiently. Lampard didn’t get his first choice from Chelsea or the set piece expert, it’s worth noting that Chelsea didn’t stand in the way of Joe Edwards leaving.
Ashley Cole, as divisive as he is, as defensive coach seemed the only input which had some sort of visible upshot, he’s also part of the England u21 setup so must have some ability I would have thought.
One thing is absolutely evident, there was absolutely zero attacking coaching going on to work the team into scoring situations in a game, that was the biggest embarrassment for me.
