I think we need more than one player is all I'm saying, no matter who that player is. If it's Connor Gallagher we definitely need more than one.

Really good stats for Lille this season as well mate. 20 games, 12 goals and 4 assists. Those stats will have them asking for big money as well.

Rapid, two footed young and can only improve.

Only issue is height and i think he may be better suited as an inside forward in our league.

His stats are hardly that of a £40m pound player. No goals in 15 international appearances, 1 goal in 20 appearances so far this season in all comps. He hasn't played 90 minutes a single time for Rennes this season in the league.

A loan with a fixed price option is all I would be looking at here. Parking three quarters of the Gordon fee in our perilous position for a player who looks to be just as inconsistent is a bridge too far for me.

They had 3 star wingers....Doku (getting loads of injuries) Terrier (Class but injured) and Sulemana.

Hes got all the tools...but he needs to add consistency and develop his game...only 20.

If hes another Mane hes worth it...if he goes to Southampton and performs he'll be £60mil+.

Transfers are paid over course of a contract mate.

We wouldn't be spending £40 millions in one lump - 5 year deal = £8 mil upfront and then 8 mil for the remaining 4 years.
