Dave, you've been rather positive lately - it'd be a shame to see you say with absolute certainty "we're down".

We all know the likelihood - but now isn't the time to give up.

Survival is still mathmatically possible.

Yes the teams around us have spent, but let's hope some of their new signings don't settle quickly enough and Dyche gets 25% more out of our players than Lampard.

If I felt there was chance a failing squad that's been weakened in the last week rather than strengthened stood any chance of survival I'd be up for this. But they dont have a chance.

No attacking capabilities and a team with injuries in it that'll have us running on fumes.

The rest of them down there have strengthened and they'll leave us behind in the next few weeks.

This is over . It's not worth considering our chances of survival, they are so remote.

It is poor planning to loan out a player in a position we have no depth, before you are sure you can get a replacement. We did not have to loan him on 10 January is my point. It's not a dumb point at all, and it was very obvious on 10 January we were likely soon heading into another managerial search. Everyone knew the direction of travel for Lampard.

You're being extremely liberal with hindsight here.

On 10th Jan Tom Cannon, 4th choice striker in a 1 striker formation, was loaned out for experience (good move). We then had a home game against 20th Southampton and then away to relegation battlers West Ham. If we'd say got 4 points out of them, Lampard wouldn't have been sacked and then what, Cannon stays as 4th choice playing in the U21 league which he'd outgrown?

I have been through the squad this morning and I was struggling to see where we get 20+ goals let alone 20+ points.

It will take Townsend coming back and scoring a few long range blammos and McNeil and Maupay stepping up to the plate and Calvert-Lewin keeping fit and getting back to his past scoring levels.

We are going to need an awful lot of luck!

Bringing in Andre Ayew now would be the overweight cherry on top of the embarrassment cake. Would much rather just give Simms a decent run of games.

That said, Ayew still looks a better player than "Tall Paul".
I'm waiting for moshiri to phone Jim white on talksport and say "the fans are ungrateful. We needed a striker and I delivered".

From another forum............make of it what you will!

  • Just had a call from a mate who "is told a few things now and then" and...

...he's been told (by someone who is absolutely NOT a fan of Kenwright - just for the record) that we were turned down by no fewer than 17 (SEVENTEEN!) players yesterday - with reasons varying from league position, to fan protests/unrest - including Batshuayi who "was open to a return to the Premier League, but wanted to join a more stable project"

It's a pinch of salt one as ever, and the mention of the fans sounds like something that Kenwright might try to spin (which is why I mentioned that above, however, the "media spin" has arguably already been done? The haranguing of Mina and Gordon was absolutely out of order, but there is no way it makes the headlines it does without the club statement and subsequent media briefings stirring up the fanbase and painting us as thugs ahead of the planned - and entirely peaceful - protest) but the source is a solid one, and as I said, it comes from someone who would feasibly have that sort of information.

What a state we are in.
More kenwright/prentice bull crap - the man is a pathological liar.

More digs at fans, it’s load of codswallop.

They need to go now, they are making the club toxic, not the supporters.
