Would anyone take Isco on a short term deal? Apparently hes a free agent, certainly can make things happen
In terms of talent he'd be up there with a Jam-Rod, but there's clearly reasons why Sevilla got rid and Berlin didn't bite. Could be fitness issues, could be attitude, could be wage demands 2x 3x higher than what we pay anyone. With our luck, probably all three. Not that he'd fancy a relegation fight in northern England anyway.

I thought they really wanted him but just ultimately couldn't fully agree the personal terms?

I have been through the squad this morning and I was struggling to see where we get 20+ goals let alone 20+ points.

It will take Townsend coming back and scoring a few long range blammos and McNeil and Maupay stepping up to the plate and Calvert-Lewin keeping fit and getting back to his past scoring levels.

We are going to need an awful lot of luck!
As much as poor players, the biggest obstacle to safety is that we have a squad of players who now have the perfect excuse not to give their all. There's no expectations on them turning up for any game and performing because they know that the board and owner are rightly identified as the origins of the collapse.

We have absolutley no chance of avoiiding relegation. I wont be going down the road of convincing myself otherwise, although I can understand that to cope with this catastrophe others will want to do so.

I'm so pissed, Chelsea have spent more in one season than we have in 6 years and yet, we're the ones not allowed to spend. I don't care what anyone says, that is utter BS and is in no way shape or form, fair competition. I know we've been a disaster but what is the point under these conditions. very very close to walking away from football today.

Are we the first to be stung under P&S? Another first, we'll probably be the only ones as usual.

I don't think the crowd nor manager will allow them to go through the motions but I can't see where the quality is, I don't think we have a single forward player who would get in the team of the sides above us.

Everyone see Richarlison's comments on how James Rodriguez was treated by Agent Rafael.

This club is completely rotten to the core. Its dead in the water and until this regime is gone, its not going to get any better. Today was an absolute shambles, embarrassing themselves, and worse still embarrassing us fans and making us a laughing stock because we still believe, we still absolutely love our club. Somebody somewhere has to be listening to us. Todays fiasco may finally wake up the world to what an absolute **** show our board is. They are liars, absolute frauds of the highest order. Until they are gone for good, nothing will change.

Poor Sean Dyche. He needs to be commended and given a ton of support from our fanbase because no matter how much money they are paying him, WHY in gods name would you take this on? He (probably) will fail, but it will not be his fault. Good luck sir.

When the transfer window shut today, I closed my eyes for 5 minutes and remembered, I transported myself back to the final whistle of the Bayern Munich semi final, standing in the corner of the Street End. Grown men, and women and kids crying, laughing and dancing around with pride while our heroes were cheered and applauded of the pitch. Yes, some of us had that in our lifetimes. Seems impossible, but true. I open my eyes again and tears (of a very different kind) welled up.

I feel so so sorry to all the younger Evertonians who have had to witness the decline of this mighty football club. Yes, were were mighty, once. All of us on this forum, all the Blues around the world, have been MASSIVELY let down. So many times over the last 6 or so years (actually about 28). But today was the nadir. This damn Chairman, his cronies and the team behind him need to be held accountable. They wont of course, so I hope they are sitting pretty in their wealthy homes, their flashy cars and their perfect lifestyles.....because EVERY Evertonian is waking up Tuesday feeling lost, hurt, angry and confused as to how so much of their trust and loyalty has been put into a few people to run the club they adore, yet can be kicked in the gut, ignored and lied to by those very same people.

If (when?) this regime (I'm not going to blame Dyche if it happens) takes us down to the Championship, I hope they feel proud. Proud for destroying a founding member of the football league, its legacy, and the (once) proud fanbase.

Get out Moshiri, and take your frauds with you.
Why would he take this on?

Pretty obvious really, he has a better team than he had at Burnley. If you line up a 4-4-2

Pickford

Holgate----keane----mina----Godfrey (ancelottis preffered back 4, had us 2nd in the league on boxing day 2 years ago, very tough to break down in a low block)

Iwobi - gueye - onana - mcneil (better than what Burnley have ever had that kept them up 6 out of 7 seasons. More athletic and more quality than what Burnley had.

Dcl - maupay (dcl has had some games to return to fitness and should see the best of him, maupay needs a partner up front and has been decent at mid table premier league level when supported up top)

Dyche kept Burnley in the Premier league and he has better tools to do so with everton than he did at Burnley so its pretty obvious really.

If he does manage to keep us up the rewards are massive too. He will likely lead us into an amazing new stadium and for him what an opportunity that is.

He won’t be dropping Tarkowski but other than that it looks realistic. Agree he will probably want Godfrey’s athleticism in one of the full back positions. He’ll have learned a lot already from the fitness stuff he’s done in the first couple of days.

I think the issue is less about ffp and more that we don’t have usmanovs money anymore

I’m not saying I disagree, but seriously who would replace them? As long as Moshiri is owner and we’re in this perilous situation, it isn’t changing.

Kenwright isn’t going to release his grip on the club, while Moshiri will want his yes men and women on the board. The rest are to some extent irrelevant.

We are quite clearly in a financial mess and with a management structure that is well known to be dysfunctional. Is BMD dragging us down too?

So Kenwright gets to play god with our club…it’s ours not his! he’s benefitted himself all the way, shouid have walked when he got his shares dividend, you replace them with competent football people the type of people Brighton, Brentford, Newcastle , Fulham have , not self serving, BS merchants that throw there own fans under the bus that we have .

And that's the biggest issue. They had 70+ days actually to make plans/targets and put things in place.

Reality was...it was all done last night.
The only transfer looked into last night was between the kitchen and there cozy office.
The previous 70+ days though, was the Strenuous task of identifying the best additions to the menu...
