That second list is so bad it just shows the scale of the situation Lampard or any manager has.

The theory of a rebuild is good but we were in a similar position 2 summers ago and added Gray, Townsend, Rondon, McNeil, Maupay. It’s just a never ending cycle, particularly if we’re scratching around in the bargain bin.

Spot on - we get rid of one set of deadbeats to then replace them with another set.

I see brighton seem to have cornered the market for relatively cheap s american prospects whereas we’re sticking to the tried and failed average player but has prem experience.

Need to break the cycle on our very average transfer business.

We have been getting balls into the middle, it's just that Calvert-Lewin is not exploiting them.

We need to buy in positional pairs that have some shot at jelling due to having complimentary traits, ...this players on-the-drip thing hasn't been working as the core remains so functionally disjointed.

Our combination play is a real eyesore.

The last window was one of the best we’ve had in a while (which is damning/depressing in itself) but this one needs to be better again, which won’t be easy in January.

Ideally, A striker or two; another AM and maybe two wingers/inside forwards plus poss another CM/CDM, plus a tonne of dross getting punted and it’s a very happy new year.

Prob only sign a couple and sell no one like, but I can dream ffs.

Interesting story and had a decent season last year. Before that he never hit double figures in a season. 140 games and 19 goals in the 5 previous seasons.

The fans would turn on him in a matter of weeks.

I’d swap Gana and Gordon personally. I think Gana does a job and while he has flaws, he is a solid option as a defensive minded midfielder and I think he can do a job for a year or two.

Other than that I think you are spot on mate and I’d ask that you email that list to Kevin Thelwell with a clear call to action from everyone on this forum
