If the goal is to add a 10/CAM or a CM with some ball carrying ability and a nose for goal it seems to me these names make a lot of sense. A higher price point than where I think we should primarily target but all three of these guys are due a move and Everton is a reasonable jump and are logical value propositions for improvement/sell on potential.

Jesper Lindström Frankfurt Denmark 17 million
Possibly more a winger but likes to operate centrally (could use help in both). Capable Ball carrier from the middle of the pitch to final third and very skilled in counter attacks. Clever in tight areas and liberal with his goal attempts he's improved his finishing.

Orkun Kökçü Feyenoord Turkey 22 million
Exceptional work rate which makes him able to drift from being a box to box midfielder or a 10. Regardless of position great in supplying chances or taking shots himself. A complete player and busy bee on the pitch. Constantly rumored moves all over Europe it would seem possible Everton could be a viable option.

Christoph Baumgartner Hoffenheim Austria 22 million
Impressive prospect due for a move soon. Physical and decisive with very nice feet that help him 1v1. Pace and engine very compatible with the prem for vertical schemes/pressing. Improved passer but more finishing 10 could assist connection in the final third and goals from midfield.

Cunha looked very good in Germany.

Or we could develop Branthwaite (who has enormous potential) and sell 2 or 3 other centre backs to pay for a new signing.
Agree ?% with this.

No point keeping Mina or Keane: given their ages and wages they should both be starting 35 games per season in all competitions, but neither of them are remotely reliable. Shift one in Jan, the other in summer '23. See what stage Branthwaite is at and go from there.

You have just done more background work than our entire scouting team did in the summer.. Mcneil and Maupay ffs

….I doubt we’d be after an Iwobi replacement, priority will be elsewhere.
