A sticky target man would improve us hugely, I think. Even without goals, getting the ball up front and holding it long enough for numbers to join the attack would benefit the team massively.

It’s one of Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s big attributes that seems to go mostly unnoticed, for some reason, and we’re missing that every bit as much as his goals.

You are right. I’d rather we had bought a striker in that vaguely mirrors Calvert Lewin’s strengths- at least then we could stick to some sort of plan when he is injured . Even someone like Chris wood, kieffer Moore would have been better and cheaper options than maupay imo to play as the second striking option.

We could have both of them, and we'd still somehow find a way to be rubbish. Wouldn't surprise me if we somehow ended up turning them into pub players. It's what we do.

I’d have been more than happy with gykores in the summer. It’s a big ask for him to change our fortunes. I’d say we need one striker in and then two widemen that can come in as starters and make a difference.

I’d be happy with elanga tbh and one more goal scoring threat from wide.

In all honesty I think fullbacks are another issue - no real attacking threat from either side to help create chances.

Chelsea have some proper football people in the DOF/sporting director roles now, not a chance Wild Todd will be throwing cash around left right and center anymore. Honestly doubt we'd get 20 million schrutebucks for that joker, never mind English pounds.

Exactly that, and to top it off we`ve bought another 2 for £30m+ that is on the deadwood pile and absolutely useless.... and we havent even finished paying for them yet, more leaches on club finances!

The lad from Coventry he's a big lad but he is a good finisher with more to him than those two

I think most of our business this January will be in the loan market.

Saying that if we could get Elanga on loan and use all funds remaining on someone like Kudus then thats probably the most sensible option.

I think in all honesty it will take us to somehow get a player like kudus in - who does look a real talent - to give us a shot at staying up. How the hell we get someone like him in this window is another matter.
