Because Seamus isn't experienced enough ?Unreal bunch of WUMs here with "we need an experienced right back" lol
Welcome back Cenk...Imagine the scenes on here if we bought a 29 year old striker playing in Turkey now
With our board they'll probably leave a decision on FL until the last moment, fire him, scramble around trying to entice a name manager, then appoint Big Dunc the day before the transfer window closes. Big Dunc then persuades Lee Trundle out of retirement and then goes down in the history books as the manager who got us relegated. Or they could surprise us and actually have a plan.I genuinely think no players are coming in because the board will wait until the next three league games are done, after which they'll decide whether or not to keep Lampard.
After the third fixture we go into a 10-day period before the window ends, and they probably naively think that's enough time to start and close out a managerial search, as well as allow the new guy to determine whether he requires additional players, scout them, approach clubs, agree deals, have them fly over for a medical and sign contracts.
We have three winnable games on the horizon and it would be a travesty to pick up fewer than 6 points from them.
For me, Lampard ought to go tonight if we don't beat Brighton, but you can bet that won't happen. We're quickly running out of on-paper winnable home games, and this will push us into needing go to away and turn Expected Defeats into victories, and that just won't happen.
I certainly don’t think he’s the answer but I think he’s big , strong and looks to have at least a bit of pace , in short a handful. so late on in games gives us an out ball and an option .
We can expect Dominic Calvert-Lewin to make it through the season without injury so even if we bring one in , what harm does having Simms there do ? I personally wouldn’t have loaned him when we had no cover , do I think he’s the answer absolutely not but the More options the better for me.
It's only 3rd of Jan!
New year hangover, then bank holiday. It's not like other teams have been signing players.
Would you not say Iwobi has been generally excellent for us for most of this season?
He's only got 1 goal...
He will be off to Newcastle
Spot on. This idea that we cant sign players outside of the window is silly. Thelwell and Frank shouldve had someone ready to come in the 1st of January, theyve had since August to get it done. The transfer strategy is worst than incompetent, it’s gross negligence.
I think he's done the very basic of what's expected of him which was to increase his work rate from the appalling two seasons following his transfer.Would you not say Iwobi has been generally excellent for us for most of this season?

Read that too but if I was Eddie Howe I wouldn't touch Ronaldo with broom handle.Sure I read somewhere that Ronaldo will be loaned to Newcastle if they qualify for CL next season.
That's what comes of being State owned I guess as the Saudi sports minister has also pledged to buy their clubs other marque players (which will end up in Geordieland too no doubt)
