Look at some of the transfers of such players though, if they have even a 2 year contract you are looking at £30m

It depends on the player Zat, it's only really worth it at the top level of players where they are likely to get their value, and yes I do understand there is a downside as you can get stuck with a player then the only way to get rid is to run down the contract - Sander Berge is a good example, easily a PL player but nobody is paying £40m for a championship player (thats his release fee)

You wont get stuck with someone...you just accept a lower bid.
