I remember the day I logged on here and seen the talks that we were signing Lukaku permanently.

Fast forward to today and the main talking points are we’re apparently selling Jordan Pickford to Spurs and Man U are signing Wout Weghorst.

“Nothing will be the same.”
Mate we used to sign prime Lukaku and have Eto’o as back up and now we’re recalling Ellis Simms as backup to Maupay… what the hell happened

I’d bite your hand off for Stephen Naismith now let alone a Lukaku ffs

No idea why we've never utilsied the loan-to-buy market. It's huge in Europe and helps teams get around financial woes.
We have Coady on a loan-to-buy currently. I think the issue is we don't have money now and we won't have money in the summer to pay any large obligations.

Coady is a loan with option. I was talking more about loan with obligation so essentially buying the player in Jan but paying for him later.

The Italians love that scheme, although they're as corrupt as sin tbf.

Isn’t that what we have essentially done with most of our signings in summer? Low up front cost and drip feed the rest. We certainly didn’t shell out 30m for onana in one go.

Most loans still have a loan fee at the start as well anyway.

Was more like this kinda thing:

They clearly don't have the money this month so pay a small loan fee and then buy him permanently in the summer.
