Can look at hypotheticals all day long, but if we don't sign a goalscorer/don't add goals to this team - we go down. What does that do to future planning/finances?

We need to sign 2 attacking players for me, but I do think Ings is a risk given his injuries, and I would imagine Villa would want a pretty substantial fee.

We're in a bad spot, and a lot of it is down to the poor decisions we have taken over many years, but especially since selling Richarlison. We have to do something, and there are no easy or risk free solutions.

If we are going to pay the fee for Ings then do it now in fairness. There is no point struggling on to the 31st, losing the next two games then paying the fee anyway. Whatever we do, we need to be decisive, and we need to see initiative from the board. But I doubt we will - I sense the inactivity is a lot down to the fact we have a manager on the brink of the sack and they don't want to look silly like last January.

Demari Gray is roughly a 1 in 10 attacker. He is 26, he isn't suddenly becoming more effective or efficient.

I know, but he might be our only hope. He'll have to continue his recent form to the end of the year, which is something that he hasn't done his entire career. We're on a knife's edge unless we bring in some goal scorers.

We need Ings + another forward. That's the stark reality.

If we get two forwards in I'm reasonably confident we can get oursleves 20+ points and just hang onto our PL status.

Get just Ings in and it's a huge doubt that we survive.

If we could do that then it should be enough would like a playmaker on top but if we play 2 strikers up front and keep to 5 at the back with those additions we should be fine.

The situation is for me that Due to our current plight, I doubt we get much better than Danny Ings atm - and he is as likely as anyone else to come in and score some goals that might help us.

Alongside ings id say we need another attacker that can create and be a goals threat and I’d take another midfielder that can be some sort of goal threat.

It’s a big window and one we need to hurry up with and one we really can’t fail on or wr are down.

Completely agree. Gray should be an off the bench player for us, at best. Gordon the same until he shows some consistent and maturity.

It's why i give the defence and to a lesser degree more leniancy because our front attacking options are so so poor.

Is it though? He wasn't known for that at Wolves or RB. Reeks more of BK and Frank as do most of our signings(Maupay, Mcneil, Coady, Gana) beyond Onana and Vinagre.

I’m confused (as with many things) about the HoR situation: in December DBB told us it had been appointed yet nothing has been announced so what’s the hold up?


The big concern is the hold up with absolutely everything: we’ve got a new HoR lined up but not in position, we’ve apparently got close to agreeing contracts with JP, AI & AG but nothing signed at our end, we’ve signed no players, there’s apparent dithering over the manager’s position.

My question would be: are these all things Moshiri needs to sign off on? And if so, is he simply not taking action on anything while trying to sell the club? Had he effectively given up and left us in stasis?

I read a rumour on another forum today that Moshiri has placed more cash into Everton's accounts.

I'm not sure if that's going to test the FFP restrictions (or whether it's true come to that) but we need to fire a few bazookas at this. What we have here at Everton atm gets us 20th position in the PL IMO.

Really or not been given a chance at their clubs? Dennis has hardly played and Cornet has been mostly injured for West Ham. Both would still do a job in our squad.

Theyve each had 2.5 great months bookmarked by nothingness.
