….ah, I see. Championship standard, yet two of them are at the World Cup with top teams.
One of those 'top teams' has a player called Moustapha Name which is somehow not a wind up and he plays for the mighty Pafos in Cyprus. The other top team will probably start a 40 year old Axel Witsel in midfield.

We need early January activity and no last minute capers.
Agree club should already have players lined up to fit into a system.
As much as we need a striker and a wide forward, in my view we need a playmaker too. Garner maybe can do it from deeper but we need someone who can dovetail and rotate with Iwobi and who gets goals. Whether thats's January or the summer.
yeah why i hope the links to kamada end up being true

Indeed.

Gueye has a good pedigree but he is coming to the end of his career. Maybe a half decent manager could improve upon his very poor recent performances, but he won't have much time left at the top level.

Onana may be decent in the future, he had a good game against the RS, but my God he's been mostly awful ever since. At present, I've seen much more awful than anything else.

Garner looks championship standard, slightly better than Tom Davies.

Doucore is an absolute donkey. He could probably just about hack the championship, but I think he's more likely to have to go abroad to a weaker league.

Two of those are young players mate you can't expect ready made quality from emerging players every week, football doesn't work like that. We haven't seen enough of Garner to judge anything but he looks positive on the ball. Onana is a six and his best games have been there, he has been pushed up so his weaknesses have been highlighted his strength and potential is massive though.

I'm certainly not discounting the possibility that a crap manager is hanging them out to dry with a crap version of Allardyce-ball that is taking us to the Championship. However, you can only judge on what you see, I don't think it helps to judge on what you can't see in a future that may or may not exist. And at present, Onana is walking around doing NOTHING! And I just haven't seen anything from Garner to suggest he's going to make it as a Premier League player.

Nothing? He's had three or four very good games and is a young player. I can't judge Garner he hasn't started a game and when he did in the EFL cup he was one of our best players apparently. I would keep your powder dry on judging young players definitively, of course we all have opinions on their current performances/form, but to say they are "crap" is a generalization. As they are always going to be inconsistent they are young players.
