United block Elanga's Everton loan​

Manchester United have blocked Everton’s bid to sign Anthony Elanga on loan because of their concerns over the 'climate' at Goodison Park, reports the Daily Star.

The paper claims Frank Lampard was keen to take Elanga to Goodison Park for the rest of the season in a bid to boost his attacking options. Lampard is desperate to land reinforcements as he battles to save Everton from relegation this season.

But it adds United boss Erik ten Hag is not willing to let Swedish international Elanga go to Everton, due to concerns about what the current climate at Goodison Park might do to Elanga's development and progress.

Again i read it, as it unviversal i.e. you can only register two to play in the PL. i.e. if you sign six from Italy you can only register two - maybe I'm wrong mate, just how i interpreted it.............

That register is only for domestic loans. But the highlighted bit in bold is exactly the problem, some of it particuarly with international isn't definitive at all, and open to people intepreting it differently.

I agree, I cant see any club being able to loan 8 players at once, but there isnt anything specific.

Im sure the club will know, and im sure it wont matter becuase Vinagre will get the boot.

They have decided just to be awkward about everything in recent years. That's their prerogative.

They would not send Romero, their 3rd choice goalkeeper to us on loan, and that was when Ancelotti was manager, so there would have been no concerns about the climate then.

Even Romero's wife said they were just being deliberatively obstructive at the time.

Selling DCL would be a risk but then keeping him and hoping he can stay fit is also a risk. So we have to bring in a striker whether we sell or not. If we sell we could at least fund a better one.
