Watched some YouTube vids on him today... Another player like Danjuma that creates goals from nothing.

New manager & attacking players - It could be done!

Seen a fair bit of him, the lad is raw, but electric!
He would cause confusion and doesn't rest for a minute, the sort of player someone like the RS would buy as a rough diamond and make him into Mane

Havent seen Ndiyae yet, but plan to hearing really good things about the lid, attacking midfielder, with dribbling ability capable of goals and assists.

Looks more like a Cahill type to me? Not so creative but in the right places.

Issue we have with 'peripherals' as such - ya Keane's, ya Holgate's etc - is that the only clubs that want them are our relegation-threatened rivals, and they have as it stands only tried on loan. And understandably we need cash and don't want to loan out players to our rivals.

It depends how desperate we get. If S'ton offer a £3m loan fee for Keane then maybe we'll have to blink.

But in reality, selling Gordon is a good decision. It was a good decision in the summer - but I don't mind them asking for £40m especially since Chelsea throw money about. But if they can get a £30m up front fee and then some add ons in the next week, get rid.

Gordon will never be the player Everton need him to be in the short term.

Thought Keane was in talks with Salernitana?

Its a struggle to see Gordon at £40mil thesedays...

Wonder who on the continent we could bring in to replace...

Holgate to Forest if over £10mil then sell. Theyre mid table already and our needs are greater for the cash.

In theory we could probably sell a few for £25-30mil and add a big sale on top e.g Gordon £40mil.

Thats a decent amount.

The little id seen online mate, seems like someone more like Kudos as can drive with the ball but can get on the end like Cahill, for those scruffy ones.

Nice one mate. It would be pretty stupid to loan to relegation rivals to be fair to us - maybe that why we are seeing the random Italian links for the likes of Keane, the last week will be haywire so we will see.

I wouldn't agree on Gordon mate, id be firmly in the keep camp, though we are doing a pretty good job of running the lad out of town.
I think he's largely crap mate. I just don't see it, honestly.

He's a young lad who should never have yet had the responsibility placed on him that we have done.

But I've said it before - when you rely on players like Gordon, and conversely Gray, McNeil and Iwobi - to be your creative players, then you're going to be scrapping at the bottom of the table.

In a better side, where he can be used as a player to compliment quality that is there, I think Gordon would have room to grow.

I agree with everyting bar the first line mate, we woefully mismnaged the lad, put him in an impossible situation and heaped expectation of him.

Its bananas asking someone at his stage of development to carry the club, so the club and fans expectations have really let him down in my opinion.

I've said before, I just can't get on board with the idea that we've asked too much of him. He's about to turn 22 having started 42 league games for us, that's quite a low total if anything, it's certainly not like we've thrown him in as an 18 year old and asked him to carry the team. We're crap and so he's not been carried by other more senior players, but that's just how it works if the team you play for isn't very good. There's nothing particularly unique about his situation, he's just a not very good player playing in a not very good team.

Aren't they under transfer embargo too? If they don't need the money and are well clear of 2nd at the moment it would be a mental decision
They are under the transfer embargo over unpaid transfer debts, so it does sound like they need the money.

In theory I guess they could reject a decent offer for a player, go with what they’ve got then pay their debts in 6 months if they reach the PL but it’s a risk, and deliberately swerving an opportunity to pay their debts like that might lead to even greater sanctions.

In a normal situation I am not against selling a top player here and there for good money, the problem in our current perdicament is I have no confidence in the DoF/Board/recuritment that we can replace like for like in any meanful way.
