It can't help though can it? It's not difficult to imagine players saying 'yeah but what if the new manager doesn't want me?'.
If he's good enough, he'll play.
Whoever we interview for the job should be told that we're bringing X and Y in.

Do agree hard but everyone has price could see deal 20-30 if honest but dont think we have thatNot a chance we get Ndiaye from sheff utd.
But boy oh boy what a signing he would be. Best player in the championship for best part of a year now.
They defo have a price and it will be upwards of 20 mill. They sell him and they risk losing promotion as he’s that key to them. Also I doubt we have the money to afford that fee lolDo agree hard but everyone has price could see deal 20-30 if honest but dont think we have that
But that doesn't address the point. It can't help when you're trying to convince players to come, that's pretty much indisputable really. Obviously we still have to do it, but the initial point is right, we really shouldn't have left ourselves in a position where we're trying to bring in players and yet we don't have a manager and the links we're hearing are to completely different profiles of manager who would be looking for totally different types of player. If he's good enough, he'll play.

Hard with that dope in charge just dont kno what he is going to do. Pick a player agin himself throw the cash in or not. I don't think you're understanding the point. As I've said, we obviously still have to try and bring players in, that goes without saying. Nobody's saying we should stop that, just that not having a manager quite clearly makes it harder to do that, and also leads to the same old problem of signing players who don't fit with what the new manager wants to do. We've created a mess for ourselves, as usual. So what do we do? 7 days left till window shuts. We can't not sign players because we don't have a manager and we shouldn't rush hiring a manager just to then try sign players.
A.K.A. last January.

We don't have anyone who can score though.Hope not. He’s utter Garbo these days.
It has, been confirmed by all the reliable sources just not official due to Everton being shambolic and sluggish about everything they doDanjuma is a quality signing, hope it comes off

If the reports are true and we've spoken to Bielsa and Allardyce about the job, then it seems fairly clear that the lessons haven't been learnt, and it's hard to think of two managers who could be more different in style. Bielsa is also supposedly the type who wants complete control at a club, which once again goes against the entire structure we have in place. I'm no lover of Kenwright et al, but how they're the ones who end up getting the most stick when Moshiri is quite clearly an utter lunatic who rides roughshod over anything that's supposed to be in place, I will never understand.I can imagine it would definitely put players off who won't know who they'll be working with.
Other than that, selecting players who are needed for the style/ balance of the squad shouldn't be a problem. That's what Kev Thelwell is supposedly in charge of. This is assuming lessons of the past have been learned of course, which isn't a given by any means.
