If this is true, we haven't learned a damn thing. Buy players in the latter part of their career for high fees and high wages and can't resell for any good value. Talk about continuing to throw money down the drain. I'd be ok buying veteran players if they were on a free or cheap to bring experience and leadership to younger players, ie Barry. I truly think we're [Poor language removed] until we can sell the club and clean house at the top.

Exactly right. On loan he provides the most potential impact of just about anyone for his set piece delivery alone. But let's be honest, he isn't coming here for a relegation scrap. He's even been playing lately. He's shown a bit more application off the ball in Potter's Chelsea than he did previously, but still wouldn't be a great fit for Bielsa or Dyche.
