Why would Milan let him go for less than they paid after 6 months?

They bought him for £27mil. I said around the same fee as the rumoured Ziyech bid of £25mil.

I wonder if we gave them their money back would we get him? He's been adapting there and had a touch of the Bergkamps in italy.

Both might turn into good players, but they arent yet.

Onana looks good...not elite but potentially down the track.

This kid similar aura about him.

Get him on loan and see how things go. We need attacking players to help us to survive. I don’t want McNeil playing on the right when we sell Gordon.
A loan in a relegation scrap for a player to re-establish his value if we have no spending power is one thing. But regardless if he did well in that hypothetical and we survived that isnt grounds to actually signing Ziyech permanently anywhere near that fee in the summer or now.

When it's a discussion of a permanent in January, there shouldn't be a conversation besides asking the board to be clear on their actual spending power. If there is so many restrictions from prior poor business in FFP where is 25 million for one player coming from with a drop of a hat? If that can be mustered deciding that this is the best use of it is beyond ridiculous.

If a player is struggling to adapt to the top of the table in Italy then I wouldn't back him to be an instant hit at us especially. We need someone to keep us up.

Former Italy manager Arrigo Sacchi has blasted Charles De Ketelaere as a “scared loser” due to his struggles at AC Milan. The 76-year-old - who won two European Cups as Rossoneri boss - is losing patience with the summer signing.

Welcome to Everton Charles.

We shouldn't be paying for anyone with a large fee, who has little sell on value. We are very likely to go down, Ziyech will be another £100k a week player. Good player though, thought it was great in the World Cup. As said better than what we've got but I would only have him on loan, or free. We could even let him go on a free again in the summer,if we gave him that contract that he would be released on a free in if we go down. I'm sure he'd have loads of options on a Bosman.
