If a player is struggling to adapt to the top of the table in Italy then I wouldn't back him to be an instant hit at us especially. We need someone to keep us up.

Former Italy manager Arrigo Sacchi has blasted Charles De Ketelaere as a “scared loser” due to his struggles at AC Milan. The 76-year-old - who won two European Cups as Rossoneri boss - is losing patience with the summer signing.

Welcome to Everton Charles.

lol to me it looks like the Bergkamp situation with the other Milan club.

Looks like hes got a huge amount of upside.

Prefer to be where we were 38years ago, winning titles, European trophies and FA cups, with top quality players.
So would I, but we are a Billion miles from those days both in time and were the team is. Just saying under Moyes it was a million times better than now. We've gone backwards in the last 12 years, thats going forward. Sad times for us.

Ziyech is better than what we have, however....£25 mill on a soon to be 30 year old is risky....

But then again is it more cost effective than going down?
It's not a straight either / or, and we can't take any risks and we can't be in denial: as it stands today (and yes things can change quickly) we are more likely than not going down, and while we need to bring in players to try to avoid it, we need to know that any players we bring in are on affordable wages and / or are young players who can be sold on relatively easily.

Ziyech isn't that: maybe he helps us stay up, but if we didn't the financial burden could be catastrophic.

With the Moise Kean deal to Juventus being triggered this summer + their money issues at the moment (pts deductions) could we write the Kean fee off + add some of the Gordon/Holgate/Keane fee and bring in one of theirs?

Bremer, Rabiot and Vlahovic their top players thesedays.
We aren't getting any of those obviously but with the talk of McKennie maybe going to Leeds for roughly what they owe us for Kean it struck me as being worth asking the question.

I can't see in a million years any of those 3 players joining Everton tbh, especially Vlahovic

Zat, just why would any of them come here, seriously. It's not about who is available it's about who would actually say yes to the 19th place team that's in the media every day for all the wrong reasons.

I'd hope that we negotiate a percentage decrease in wages if we are relegated, for any signings we do make. Probably too sensible for our robust procedures /sign offs though...

They will find it tough to reach the european places. Those players would be writing off 2 seasons, this season pts and next season lack of european football.

Never know.

Also, we should be trying to loan Kessie from Barcelona.
