I don’t think any club has ever signed anyone on a pay as you play deal..
Obviously still contractually bound as an employee, but Collymore was pretty much pay as you play at Leicester, which turned out to be a fantastic decision on Leicester’s part. Don’t think we should bother though, given his club history.

Forget Lingard, we should be after Jack Clarke from Sunderland.

We should offer them Patterson, Keane, and Dobbin, as well as Chermiti on loan and a bit of cash on top that can be paid in instalments across future accounting periods.

….but they’ve got to want those players, they’ve got to be able to cover a % of salary and the players themselves have got to want to move. If you add in that the 4 players mentioned are used by Dyche there is zero chance of 4 leaving and one coming in.

All that is true, but I think it’s only Keane that is on high prem wages, the rest are on Championship wages, I think?

We’d have to come to some sort of deal with Keane about the 18 months left on his contract. We either agree to an attractive partial-payoff, or we continue to be lumbered with the gormless lump for another 18 months on 75k per week.

Or we could sell him? If we wanted, which we never have, wanted to that is.
