Given what is going on elsewhere in our world this is a bit of an odd thread. Getting frustrated because we need this or need that when we clearly are on the brink of P&S at best and worst getting a further points deduction just seems strange to me
All of this is a balancing act. The points deduction/current charge are for our transgressions years ago, since when we've calmed down the spending considerably - so there may be some wiggle room in terms of future accounting.

We also need to factor in the financial ruin that a relegation would leave the club in - so a careful level of spending would actually be financially beneficial in the longer term

we’re going to be £10m a season better off when Gomes and Dele’s contracts expire, plus a lot of the other big earners have gone from 2 seasons ago.

I’m sure we have some wiggle room… especially if we could actually sell a back up centre back.

Sadly if you work hard and run that extra yard you can make it in today’s game as a premier league player, heard a few ex pros say it now and it’s true we’re a prime example of that squad full of grafters but not very good footballers.
Does this mean then we are safe from clubs wanting to sign Pickford, Branthwaite or Onana?

Yeah because we then offer stupid contracts to the players we keep like Doucoure who is now on about £120k a week etc.

We haven’t finished in European places since 2016/17. No player should be on over 100k.

i think they make these rules up as they go along , kept hearing how great it would be for our ffp when we sold gordon because he was homegrown , now it seems no one mentions ffp anymore it’s all p and s

It has always been P&S. FFP is UEFA but everyone just conflates the 2. They are both just financial restrictions but it’s easier to type and say FFP.

No but means we’re stuck with crap like McNeil, DCL, Beto, Doucoure, Patterson, Coleman, Young, and 2 crap loan signings who are part of our core squad add Dobbin, Chermiti, Godfrey, Keane bulk squad of Not very good footballers but most try. Which is why when we’re playing and all are running the extra yards we’ve got results very rarely have we won a game on individual brilliance because we lack that massively.

I have said the same for years now and despite the various outgoings we still have 7 players on £100k or more. Id rather go with the way teams like Ajax and Brighton and few others do where it's lower wages but incentivized with big bonuses for doing well which encourages the players to play well and put the effort in.

Just heard Lingard is joining up with Everton training and Pickford has a hand injury (dont know how serious)

Gonna presume Lingard could potentially be a straight replacement for Danjuma for 6 months
Time to warm up the weasel again
