I have my doubts about those claims of us needing 20 million pound a month to keep the lights on. What’s the source?

And say it was true, and the payments started at the beginning of the season in August and supposedly continue to the end of the season in May. That would suggest that our revenue is 200 million pound below what is required to break even. 10 X 20 = 200 million.

I don’t believe we are in that bad a state, and if we were, absolutely NOBODY would want to buy us, and administration would be an absolute inevitability!
The builders need paying and we don't have the cash in the bank, hence the need for borrowing.

It is all on public record.

Vast majority of it is to pay Laing O’Rourke which is temporary rather than systemic. We’re not in great shape but we’re not losing 240m a year.

If this is true, it’s more accurate to say that we are borrowing 20 million pound a month to finish the construction of a new stadium.

This is a bit different to saying Everton require 20 million pound a month to keep the lights on. It would mean the consequence of not borrowing 20 million pound a month would be a delay to building the stadium, and not an inability to pay the players or the gas bill.

And if there is a public record of Everton borrowing 20 million pound a month every single month, this borrowed money is coming from an entity that has expressed their intention to imminently purchase the club. This does make a difference to what we are talking about.

I’m certainly no expert in this world of ‘equity and acquisitions’ or whatever, but I’m pretty sure that the fact that they are due to become our owners in the very near future means their lending should be considered a bit different.

So Leeds apparently wand Godders on loan.
Sound move for us loaning our players out. Reduces wage bill but then we can bring players like Godders and Holgy back into our fold to spearhead our campaign in the Champo next season
