Indeed not too fussed if Onana would be sold for the money, we can replace him and have good midfielders already. But with Branthwaite we finally have a real quality centre back. After years of a spineless team I enjoy watching Tarkowski & Branthwaite
No one wants Onana, all paper talk. They can see how average he is.

He’s improved this season from last and yet he has a couple of average games and he’s back to being crap. It’s Mad how we have players who can’t trap a bag of cement, yet are talked about as world beaters.

I pushed for this a few months back. I'd be very surprised if he doesn't break into the Sheff Utd team by the end of season. This would have been a Moyes signing back in the day.

Good player could be a top player, and for the money a no brainer.
Pushed ? Got much influence with the recruitment team ?

I see Spurs are in for Dragusin from Genoa, highly rated CB, just the type of player we need if we are to ever replace Keane, Godfrey and Holgate.

I wonder if we should be using our 777 group advantage to get him 1st....

Sounds like it's going to be our 7th transfer window in a row without spending any money! Last time was summer 2020 I think?

With so many players leaving at the end of the season hopefully we can try and get ahead of it.

"Hey do you wanna come here and be on Everton's bench"

Not sure how that pitch would go.
If everything turned out OK he would be the long term replacement for Tarkowski who is now 31.

IMO I think it is insane not to sign a good quality player, especially internally of the 777 group (a benefit of the group) because the current players in situ will be there forever, you have to factor in injuries OR if one is sold or one decides to retire.

I know one thing, that is when one of our 1st choice CBs are out the replacements aren`t very good at all, ideally you want more than 2 CBs capable of playing and creating competition for places. It`s not something as Evertonians we are used to....

What is the Spurs pitch? "Hey do you wanna come here and be on Spurs's bench when our 1st choice CBs come back?"

"Hey do you want to come sit on Spurs bench, live in London, earn more money than at Everton and play in Europe next year not possibly the Championship?"

Slightly more improved pitch don't you think.

Probably the first Jan window in ages where I'm not really that arsed what happens.. so long as we don't sell a number of our better players like lol

Think we just need to concentrate on keeping the current squad as fit as possible. Can't see many other teams in the league making any big moves themselves..

777 influence here has to be used in our advantage. Ask them to at the very least revisit the terms of the dele agreement with us as a prerequisite for any talks/sale...
