Didnt say "world beater" did i...

The fact you rate Michael Keane after watching him fail in possibly 90% of games is somewhat bewildering.

He was our best defender after the restart, for what it's worth.
Maybe Carlo thinks he can get a tune out of him?

I don't rate Keane particularly highly .

I suggest you re-read my post .

I think you missed the word unfortunately.

Fair play, still incorrect though.

Mina was our best player for half a season.

Holgate (as you stated) evolved into our best centre back

Then its Keane by a nose ahead of Branthwaite...they both make mistakes but one is obviously potential and the other a bit of a shy softy.

Incidently i still like Kessie, hes been caught short with Milan declining until recently...Torreira is Allan lite. Very good in italy though.

If we ignore Mina and Holgate being injured then hes still only had perhaps 3 great games when super deep...then participated in giving goals away alongside Branthwaite.

Its tough, do I take your word for it, somebody who wouldn't know a good player if he fell over them or Carlo Ancelotti, a man whos worked with the very cream of defenders for the last 20 years.

Its a real tough un for sure.

Totally agree with you.

Which is precisely why Holgate and Mina played more than Keane under Ancelotti ;)

Carlo rates him as evidenced by his comments, you know more though I'm sure.

Its called man management.

Keane's well known for being a confidence player (alarm bells for a centre back) and after lockdown Holgate and Keane were both injured.

Aside from Branthwaite who else plays?

Dont you think that if he rated him over Mina and Holgate he would have played Keane ahead of them?

He didnt.

He didnt.

He gave Keane a 5 year deal.
Pretty good management I guess.

Or Brands didnt want to risk his contract dropping to 12months after we failed to replace him with Gabriel.

Its a moot point anyway. Branthwaite will take his 3rd choice position over the next season and Keane will finally be punted.

A 5 year contract is a statement of intent.
I doubt you're that oblivious to the insinuation. So what is your agenda?
Moot? Not quite.

Also, for the record, who played the most minutes under Carlo in a defensive position?
Yup.

Keane played every minute of Everton's Premier League games post-lockdown last season, claiming a handful of man-of-the-match awards and maintaining an elevated level of performance he will employ as a benchmark when the new campaign kicks off in a fortnight.

You seem to have ignored my post lol

Funny to mention 'agendas' the sign of a defeatist.

Most games aside from injuries
Holgate
Mina
Keane
Branthwaite

Btw this is the branthwaite thread my dear. Who in open play looked like he wasnt far off taking Keanea 3rd choice spot.
