yep, sounds like hes in line to make his debut saturday v stoke,as they have a few Injurys - as long as done in time

Tony Mowbray confirmed at a press conference that Blackburn and Everton have reached an agreement for the loan of Jarrad Branthwaite.
For me, he's the best of the options available to Rovers which seems the consensus to those at the club as well. Ticks a lot of boxes, not least being left-sided. Most importantly, he's ready to play.
The interesting bit for me is Mowbray’s “ Ticks a lot of boxes, not least being left-sided”. as opposed to left footed. There was an interview recently from an ex Carlisle guy laughing at people calling him left - footed, he said he was right footed but is equally strong on his left foot. I can’t verify that , he certainly looks strong on his left foot and has used his right too at times. A two footed , strong CB who can use both feet will certainly be an asset to us in future years.

As long as he plays this move will be good for him. He wasn't going to see much action in the first team here and he is already a step above u23. My only worry is if he makes a mistake early like Galloway did and then doesn't get back in. However that's slightly cushioned as its only a 6 month loan. Interesting whether they recall Gibson and either keep him as back up or send him somewhere he has more chance of game time. I know he's currently injured but he might just suit our squad as he can also cover left back
