in his first season with us the £25 million price tag was not a problem he looked a good young prospect but I think Covid and a broken leg has derailed his development, speed and physicality will only get you so far. If you are young and have it you will stand out but then you need to develop the other parts of your game. His injury and Covid came at the wrong time in his development and he’s not really progressed
it’s fine if you have speed to recover a mistake every now and then, but if you have the rely on that speed because you are constantly making mistakes/out of position then you’ll be found out very quickly in this league

Godfrey wasn’t a bad signing. He’s just had some crappy luck the past few seasons. He looked great under Carlo.

I Didnt see it. He's been error prone since day 1 imo.
He cant defend.

He was the DOF when we signed him. You are right. He did say the club were looking at him before he arrived. Imo he should have put his foot down as the then DOF. He couldnt defend at norwich. He cant defend at Everton.
Terrible business by all involved.
