He can sign a new much improved contract and still get a move in due course. He's a first team player now so will be in line for a pay rise you'd presume.

I am sure we have been trying to get him to sign a new contract, but no success it seems so far. I hope that I am wrong and he ends up signing a new contract, but I still feel that he thinks that he is too good for this football club.

I didn’t see his booking today mate. But he has a calming influence. I do think he might get his pockets picked a couple of times this season but he is the type of player we need to develop our play. We could do with a midfielder with the same attributes.

No chance you get 3 years...has no intention of signing a new contract and having new owners wouldn't change anything...he will end up at united either next summer, or the one after.

He's too good to finish up at United, he will leave here in the summer, but, he will go to a better team than United, he is destined for the very top, a very very good centre back in the making.
