Judging by the comments from Dyche on Branthwaite since Dyche came, I highly doubt we will see much of him. Just doesn’t seem to fancy him. Will be amazed, pleasantly amazed, I’d Dyche starts him against Fulham. Starting the season on the bench I fear.
Rightfully so. Disgraceful to be behind Keane in the pecking order after a: Keane being dropped from the team as we were headed for relegation near the end of last season and b: Branthwaite having had a brilliant season out on loan at PSV.His agent may well be hawking him after today.

Why shouldn't he waltz in? He played 90 minutes every week for PSV domestically and in Europe last season. You can only impress if you're on the field. Everybody has seen enough of those three clowns Keane, Holgate and Godfrey. Does 'ease him in' = 'play him as soon as Keane racks up enough own goals and mistakes to be dropped'?Doesn't mean anything. Laughable anyone felt he'd waltz into the defence. He'd always be 3rd choice to ease in.
So goes back to what I've always said...we need a 1st choice CB because Holgate, Godfrey, and Keane aren't good enough.
Possible. And with Maguire moved on while we dithered (he walks into this 11), what numpty makeweight will they dump on us instead? Not being risked ahead of the Utd bid.
