least of our issues and people need to lay off the kid, he’s class and class is permanent. If they don’t you are spot on, they will chase him out the club.

Get behind the lad and let him play and make mistakes, he’s still young - he’s a future England regular and Everton skipper, if we show a bit of patience and support.

I find it really strange that evertonians seem to jump all over the younger players as soon as they make a mistake or two, but the so called older, more experienced senior members of the squad get away with absolute murder and can stink the place out week after week without much comment. Odd.

We are behind him and want him to stay here and captain Everton.

Guehi and Branthwaite will be the alternatives for them unless they think there is better value abroad.

Given that , as you say , Arsenal , City and United are well stocked at CH and Branthwaite's form has dipped alarmingly it is highly unlikely that we will get a few around £70 million for him.

If that means we keep him , great but I don't know how , with PSR , we fund what will be a massive rebuild in the summer.

The rebuild is my concern as I thought he was going a long way to funding it. Whilst I'd rather keep him, I was hopeful that a hefty fee would buy 2-3 quality players for us.

He never had a pre-season and missed the earlier games. This effects players prep. Hasn't been up to last seasons form and as you say he has still been decent enough. Will grow further into the season and is not wise to be written off
