2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

Really weird. The lad playing instead of him is called Roman Egan-Riley (no, me neither). Aged 18 from Spurs. Appears to have not even played at U21 level for Spurs. Anyway they are currently losing 2-1.

Isn't it CJ at Burnley? Even so it's ridiculous. Although england do like having a shorter CB in. Guehi, Konza are favoured alongside a bigger lad.

Its this chap at Burnley making his England u21 debut.

thats absolutely mad but at least he got some form of rest

only worry is it makes him think he needs a move, but when an unknown burnley player is ahead of you it makes it a bit moot compared to quansah being picked ahead of you

Random from Carsley in a meaningless game, but he seems to do that experimentation from time to time.

No idea if Branthwaite wouldmake much difference to the senior squad which hasn't evolved much - surely he'll be in there over the next few years.

Wouldn't worry too much. Think the Dan Burn experience won't last too much longer. If a half fit Broja can make him that uncomfortable then he won't last long against half decent international class, never mind what awaits in the tournaments.

The hits just keep on coming. 15 million euros. Damn.

Harwood-Bellis was at fault for 3 of the 5 goals.

Little wonder Man City binned him and he now plays for bottom of the table Southampton.

No idea why Carsley picked him unless he’s deliberately trying to get sacked.

He's a right sided centre back used on the left yesterday...next to a player making his debut and some might say, in front of a dodgy keeper.

Bit harsh on him.

Casey’s always rated harwood-bellis, he called him up for the seniors when he was in charge. Branthwaite’s never really been a regular at any age group for England for whatever reason.

Conceding 5 goals when you leave your best defender and player our is clearly a stupid decision. But it's England. Can't stand them

Hadn't Drenthe turned up at Finch Farm like Duffman a few days earlier also?

200.webp
Yeah but according to Dave Drenthe would have won the FA Cup for us, and Moyes was at fault for being a disciplinarian. While in another thread Dave is raving about Dyche being a disciplinarian for slapping Patterson.

Schrodinger’s poster 🤷
