2024/25 Jarrad Branthwaite

It's great to see him back.

Didn't think he'd make 90 minutes considering he was bending down around 50th minute but he made it.

Psychologically it's just so much better to have him in there, no surprise Myko had his most solid game defensively today as the distances are just much more secure between Branthy and LB rather than Keane lumbering around and ball watching. Look how many times Palace tried the diagonal ping to the left in the second half and it didn't work at all.

Him and Tarks just works against most opponents so same as last season, keep them fit and out there and they'll be more home wins (and hopefully some aways) like today and can move back into mid table safety.

Intercept 4 dangerous low cross into the box, if keane plays today, I’m quite sure all 4 will end up as palace chances.

Shield attackers wide and prevent clear shots multiple times, again if Keane is playing, palace striker will run around him ending with shots.

That's why those who wanted to sell him in the summer for sound financial reasons were wrong.

Mind you, I love the chutzpah of one of our legendary (and very entertaining) posters who wanted him gone in the summer so that the club could reinvest, and who is now telling all and sundry that he knew the return of Branthwaite would, rightly, keep the manager in a job.

Talk about trying to play all sides... :D
